Magento : Display all categories and sub categories including “Include in Navigation Menu” to No

Is there a way to include categories that have "Include in Navigation Menu" set to "No"? I'm wanting to have a limited number of categories in the top nav, but display all of them in the side nav.

Magento is built up with core functionality to show categories in both nav menu and in sidebar, but to show in sidebar only not in top nav menu,template code need to be modified.
