I'm running 2.0.6, and imported about 6000 products from a different platform. The existing products show up properly, but now the weight attribute simply doesn't show on a new product page, making all products default to Virtual products.
If one of the imported Simple products is updated, even though it has a weight in the database, it switches to Virtual (and the weight remains in the database).
If we add configurations to a product, the weight field shows up in the configurations. If we then add a weight, the weight is not written to the database on save. So we end up with a Simple product that has no weight. (Again, if we update the Simple product directly after creating it, it changes to Virtual.)
I noticed there is a weight_type field in the database and every imported product entry is set to Null. I'm wondering if that should be something else? Maybe the Null in this field is messing something up? I can't find what the options for weight_type are.
