Resize only Base image while uploading images

Hello,

I want to resize only base image resolution while uploading images on Product, because later i want to use this images in API. I came across this solution Resize Images but it is not what i need, because it changes all image resolutions including Thumbs and Small. 

Any idea how can i modify base image resolution?

Is it possible to change the resolution of the default Magento images resize but it done for all images not for only one.

Yes i know that magento has that functionality, but i want to change only for Base image to have different size :/
