Website Rename - Back Office Problem

Hi,

Help please.

I just made a stupid mistake. I renamed my website names in the back office.  After I hit update I lost the ability to log back in through my browser.  To correct the problem I want to revert back but don't know which file to manually edit so that I can fix the problem. I thought it was index.php but I looked and can't see any reference to the new website name that I used.

Any help / advice would be appreciated.

You can just rename your site using database.

Go to Your database,

find core_config_data table,

Find row with path like web/secure/base_url and web/unsecure/base_url

Set your site name in both field value.

Remove var/generation folder from root.
