magento scan tool not recognizing verification code

Hi,

for some reason the magento scan tool does not recognize the <!--random digits--> in the header section of site only for certain sites, sites that are usually under sucuri.  I have done everything including clearing cache and the site fails the confirmation of code each time.  Other sites it will confirm the code even when I do not clear the cache.  Any help would be appreciate.

it seems like sucuri is removing HTML commented code.

Hi,

Sucui did not strip the tags and I added the meta tag (see screenshot) and after clicking confirm button (for meta tag at magento scan site), it just refreshed the page.  Regardless, I have been able to add the magento scan metatag and confirmation code on other sites running sucuri with no issues.  Is there something else that might be preventing the scan tag from being inserted?  Would it be better to hardcode the scan code in the default_header_blocks.xml file?
