Our system.log is frequently showing a long list of the following errors:

[2022-04-21 02:03:36] main.ERROR: Event with ID evt_3KqVLJCHTJQBr32Z1VN9S8ut has already been processed. [] []
[2022-04-21 02:04:14] main.ERROR: Event with ID evt_3KqVLGCHTJQBr32Z0B1NRjgQ has already been processed. [] []
[2022-04-21 02:05:15] main.ERROR: Event with ID evt_3KqVMVCHTJQBr32Z1N6mH5X1 has already been processed. [] []
[2022-04-21 02:06:02] main.ERROR: Event with ID evt_3KqVLWCHTJQBr32Z0swYSpko has already been processed. [] []
During the time these errors are shown, our site loads very slow and is almost unresponsive. As soon as the errors stop, our site is very quick. We are using an external CDN and running Magento 2.4.2-p1.
Can anyone assist to help determine what is causing these errors? I have tried to search and Google, without success.
