url_path issue

When I duplicate a product and try to save it I get an error that it cant be saved. I have found the issue, Magento cant save the product because the url_path isn't getting change to the new product.

If I create a product from scratch the url_path isnt created so I am guessing that I dont need it and the existing ones have come across from my 1.9 upgrade.

Can anyone confirm this and tell me the best way of getting rid of the existing ones?

Yes, you can delete or change url_part and then save your duplicate products.

Thanks for the reply, whats the best way to delete them? They dont appear on the product, they seem to be stored in catalog_product_entity_varchar table but I am not sure if they are anywhere else
