Mage 1.x for 10+ hours a day that I've not had much time to really work with Mage 2. I've been doing Mage 1.x for 8 years now and feeling a bit behind the ball (or smart) to not have picked up Mage 2 yet. I've done a few installs here and there but each time I thought it was horrible and not yet ready to pursue or suggest to clients. I'm finding it hard to balance building skills in a new technology that I don't feel comfortable to recommend because I don't believe it's mature yet, and worrying about being left behind when it finally is mature.
Every week here, there's reasonably negative comments about Mage 2, so I would like to know from all of you:
What problem does Mage2 solve for you that Mage1 doesn't?
What about Mage2 do you really like more than Mage1?
How do you feel about speed of development - if you're doing a new module or extending it, is it faster, slower or about the same amount of time?
What have been your bad experiences?
Have you started a Mage2 project and decided at some stage that no, it's not going to work, and what did you do?
Anything else you think is worthy of adding that I've not already asked
What are some really nice Magento 2 modules you are using?
