We tried to do an update with composer from Magento 2.3.3 to M 2.4.
First we downgraded the composer version of my account to composer 1.10 as you can verify here:
[truespor@frault2 ~]$ composer --version Composer version 1.10.26 2022-04-13 16:39:56
but after once again trying to upgrade the application, there were more errors such as:
Your requirements could not be resolved to an installable set of packages. Problem 1 - Conclusion: don't install magento/product-community-edition 2.4.2 - Conclusion: don't install symfony/console v4.4.45 - Conclusion: don't install symfony/console v4.4.44 - Conclusion: don't install symfony/console v4.4.43 - Conclusion: don't install symfony/console v4.4.42 - Conclusion: don't install symfony/console v4.4.41 - Conclusion: don't install symfony/console v4.4.40 - Conclusion: don't install symfony/console v4.4.38 - Conclusion: don't install symfony/console v4.4.37 - Conclusion: don't install symfony/console v4.4.36 - Conclusion: don't install symfony/console v4.4.34 - Conclusion: don't install symfony/console v4.4.33 - Conclusion: don't install symfony/console v4.4.30 - Conclusion: don't install symfony/console v4.4.29 - Conclusion: don't install symfony/console v4.4.27 - Conclusion: don't install symfony/console v4.4.26 - Conclusion: don't install symfony/console v4.4.25 - Conclusion: don't install symfony/console v4.1.0 - Installation request for magento/product-community-edition 2.4.2 -> satisfiable by magento/product-community-edition[2.4.2]. - Conclusion: don't install magento/framework 103.0.2|remove symfony/console v4.1.12|install symfony/console v4.4.42|install symfony/console v4.4.43|install symfony/console v4.4.44|install symfony/console v4.4.45
What todo?
Hello @Ketelbinkie
You may find in m2 docs that 2.3.3 doesn't support composer 2
https://devdocs.magento.com/guides/v2.4/install-gde/system-requirements.html
So use
composer self-update --1
Hi Bhanu,
Thanks for your quick reply.
We used
Composer version 1.10.26 2022-04-13 16:39:56
which should be a correct version I suppose.
Or is
composer self-update --1
the only correct one
