Back in April 2019, we shared a post about how we Improved search on DevDocs. We’re excited to share another substantial improvement today with our announcement of federated search!
The Magento DevDocs and User Experience teams have been hard at work designing a solution to help you find content across different Magento technical documentation sites.
Site search on DevDocs now includes results from the following sites:
Try it for yourself and let us know what you think:
- Go to devdocs.magento.com.
- Enter a search term. For example, "inventory management".
The suggestions include results from different sites, such as the User Guide. - Click Search or press Enter to navigate to the search results page where you can continue refining your search based on existing search functionality.
- Click a site name to see results from a different site.
Next steps
We plan to add more sites, such as the Glossary and Help Center.
We also plan on rolling this out to other documentation sites, so you will have the same search experience no matter where you are.
