Malware warning when customers pay

I have had a few customers complain that when they try and pay a big 'malware' warning tells them that there is a potential of there mac having malicious damage to it.

Is this something common, and what is the cause? How can I deal with it as it's putting some customers off.

Which version of Magento are you using?

Have you applied all the patches released by Magento to your site?
