Preparing marketing mail

Preparing marketing mail

We are starting a new business and are planning to send out marketing mail to a set of addresses in the neighbourhood. The addresses have been collected and now the mail should be drafted, printed and send to the said addresses. What are the things that should and should NOT be added to the mail. It would be really nice if you guys could share some email templates so that I can draft mine accordingly. Please help me here. Thanks in advance.

Re: Preparing marketing mail

I'm not sure if you mean physical mail or email.  If email: We really love MailChimp. They have great resources for beginners, and the system is easy to learn.  Their beginner plan is also free for smaller lists Smiley Happy

I don't have much experience with printed mailings, so perhaps someone else could share their thoughts on that.

Have a look at mzax/emarketing extension, which focuses on automated target (email) campaigns. Still in beta though but if you want to try it out, I am looking for beta testers.

Though MailChimp is great for one off newsletters.

Re: Preparing marketing mail

It’s not clear whether it’s postal mails or emails. If it’s postal mails i would recommend to hire a mailing service. For my cake shop in Toronto i hired Troi mail for direct mailing services. First thing you don’t have to worry about printing and posting as they will take care of it for you. They are experts who will help you to make your content better.

Re: Preparing marketing mail

If you’re looking for a decent tool for this purpose, than I’d suggest you MailChimp. It is by far the best tool for email marketing I’ve used. I also love the fact that its basic functions are free if your email list in no bigger than 2000.

As an alternative, I would also recommend Mad Mini. It’s pretty good providing you are not going to perform split tests. Because there aren’t any Smiley Sad
