Hi @charlottee17dc ,
Moving to Magento can absolutely enable a rock-solid, multi-domain, multi-language setup - but it won’t magically fix localization issues unless you configure each store view (and its domain) correctly. Here’s what to keep in mind:
Websites > Stores > Store Views
A single Website can contain multiple Stores, each of which can expose one or more Store Views.
Store Views are what you use for different locales (e.g. decrum.fr > French view, decrum.de > German view).
Domain-to-Store View Mapping
In Stores > Configuration > Web you set your Base URLs per store view.
You point https://www.decrum.fr/ at your French store view, and https://www.decrum.de/ at your German one.
In addition to above you need to install right language packs for store view which works for system text but for custom text you need to modify language packs.
For CMS content, Products, Categories you need to add translated content store view wise.
It would be easy to manage localization with magento in longer run.
Problem Solved? Accept as Solution!
Thanks,
Ankit
Localization issues across domains (like decrum.fr vs. decrum.de) can be addressed better in Magento — but it depends on how you implement Magento.
Magento (especially Adobe Commerce) has very strong support for multi-store, multi-language, and multi-domain setups. This includes:
Separate store views per language (e.g., French, German)
Per-domain configuration (SEO, tax, currency, product translation)
Language packs and inline translation tools
Geo-based redirection or switchers
Scoped content, product pricing, and catalog visibility
So, yes, Magento can absolutely solve most of the localization pain points if:
It is properly configured for each store view
Translation/content is managed correctly
You're not relying on a single-language fallback structure
That said, just moving to Magento won’t automatically fix localization bugs. If the issues on decrum.fr are due to:
Incorrect store configuration
Bad redirect logic
Missing translation keys
Faulty language detection logic
Then they would need to be solved during migration or in post-migration QA.
When facing a video banner issue in mobile while accessing the smart.com.ph sim registration, it usually happens due to compatibility problems between the website’s embedded media and the browser or device settings. On some smartphones, heavy video banners can cause slow loading, page misalignment, or even prevent certain registration fields from displaying correctly. To resolve this, you should first clear your browser cache and cookies, then try switching to a different browser like Chrome or Safari. Disabling ad-blockers or pop-up restrictions may also help since these can interfere with video banners.
