Community Monthly Update - April 2022

Hello all!

Magento Open Source 2.4.4 is available now!

Magento Open Source version 2.4.4 was released on April 12, along with security-only patches 2.4.3-p1 and 2.3.7-p3. This new version marks a new step forward in commerce capabilities, security, and performance. Also check out our Adobe blog article.

Built on the newest version of PHP (8.1), it enables customers to future-proof their digital commerce businesses with faster access to innovative features delivered as SaaS services, easier maintenance and upgrades, additional headless commerce support, and significant increases in performance and scalability.

To avoid unexpected issues during installation or upgrade, please refer to the system requirements here - https://devdocs.magento.com/guides/v2.4/install-gde/system-requirements.html.

Please refer to the release notes for important updates including changes in process for vendor-bundled extensions.

PWA 12.4 is available now!

We’ve added full support for product attributes in PWA Studio that allow you to enhance the customer experience for your PWA sites while saving developer time and resources. Product attributes enable marketers and merchandisers to communicate additional product values and features to help inform and guide buyers during their purchase journey. These attributes can be used to enhance search, filter, and sort experiences, as well as enrich the product detail page. They are managed directly in the Magento Open Source Admin and integrated with Page Builder, meaning there is no technical expertise required. This functionality empowers you to enrich customer experiences, while simultaneously lowering TCO by reducing the need for developer or partner time.

Seeking participants for early access opportunity!

Quick Checkout for Magento Open Source

We are currently looking for feedback from US-based Magento Open Source users for our new extension Quick Checkout for Magento Open Source. This extension is built and supported by Adobe and powered by Bolt, the market leader in one-click checkout solutions. We built this extension to be low-risk, so typically it can be activated in less than an hour and is built to work with your existing checkout and payment providers. And for your customers, it helps to solve mobile conversion rate issues by reducing the number of fields that need to be completed during checkout.

If you are interested in participating or would like additional information, please contact Daniel Perez Tanco and Ritesh Somani.

Quality Patches Tool 1.1.12 is available now!

The Quality Patches Tool delivers individual patches developed by Adobe and the Magento Open Source community. It allows you to apply, revert, and view general information about all individual patches that are available for the installed version of Adobe Commerce or Magento Open Source. Currently, the tool provides access to 364 patches for different Adobe Commerce or Magento Open Source releases. We encourage developers to check what fixes are already available in the tool prior to contacting support. Please, follow the https://devdocs.magento.com/quality-patches/tool.html page the see the list of patches.
