Welcome to the February edition of the Community Monthly Update.
Version 2.4.4 marks a new step forward in commerce capabilities, security, and performance. Built on the newest version of PHP, 8.1, it enables users to future-proof their digital commerce businesses with faster access to innovative features delivered as independent services, easier maintenance and upgrades, additional headless commerce support, and significant increases in performance and scalability.
Staying on the latest version of Adobe Commerce or Magento Open Source is critical to business success. To help our community and partners stay current, we’ve put together several resources to plan and prepare for the upgrade to version 2.4.4:
The Adobe Commerce 2.3 End of Support (EOS) date has been shifted to September 8, 2022, to provide additional time to upgrade to 2.4.4.
For Adobe Commerce customers, Adobe will also offer a paid extended support option for versions 2.3.7 and 2.4.0-2.4.3 for up to one year after the versions’ EOS date. With extended support, the Adobe support team will continue to provide quality fixes and security patches, giving merchants more time under support as they plan and execute their upgrade to 2.4.4 or later releases.
Adobe has released security updates for Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source. These updates resolve a vulnerability rated critical. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution.
Affected versions are - Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source 2.3.3-p1-2.3.7-p2 and 2.4.0-2.4.3-p1 .
The Adobe Commerce Documentation team is planning to migrate content from the devdocs.magento.com and docs.magento.com sites to the Adobe DevSite and Adobe Experience League sites this year. Our goal is to improve the overall user experience by consolidating Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source technical documentation on Adobe subdomains so that customers and community members have fewer sites to navigate. Don't worry! Our documentation will continue to be open source and available for community contributions on the Adobe sites.
To help us understand the impact on user experience before committing to a full-scale migration, we've conducted targeted test migrations (including the Amazon Sales Channel user guide, Upgrade Guide, and PWA Studio developer guide). Thanks to community feedback about missing site search results, we have taken extra steps to ensure that site search continues returning results for migrated content until all migration is complete. We've updated our migration plan based on this feedback so that the site search experience will not be disrupted and will continue returning results for migrated content.

Adobe is excited to announce new storefront styling features based on custom attributes for Product Recommendations. Product Recommendations service response will include custom product attribute values, so you can style your recommendations on the storefront based on custom data. This allows merchants to add custom visual treatment or badges such as “Expedited Shipping,” “Clearance,” or other common merchandising design elements based on the custom product attributes.
This was the top requested feature from our users, and we are thrilled to announce its release. Learn more here.
We are excited to announce the upcoming availability for payment services in Canada. Starting on March 31st, Canadian Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source merchants will be able to accept payments from customers globally and settle in CAD. Payment services is a fully-integrated, Adobe Commerce service that optimizes acceptance, while reducing complexities and friction by providing an all-in-one payments and commerce solution.
