Integrating Square as a payment processor instantly 'destroyed' my store.

When installing Square, first it checked if the server was compatible, and everything checked out. Then it tried to back up the server, but failed and said the feature was unavailable. Then it installed and claimed success. From that moment on every page has yielded the error response code:

Which Square extensions are you using? There seem to be quite a few of them. 

Are you on Magento 1 or Magento 2?
