Build Report with Source/Medium for New Customers

Hi, My Google Analytics is linked to my BI however I cannot seem to work out how to use it's data.

I am wanting a report which shows me New Customers (purchased) and where they have come from eg. Source/Medium.

I am going into "Create New Metric" but cannot work it out.

Hi digitaldownies,

 

Please try following steps to meet your requirement of a report containing MBI metric and a GA3 metric with source/medium

 

  • Add an MBI metric New Customers. This is available OOTB in MBI.

  • Add a GA metric New Users as per below snapshot

  • After adding the GA metric, click on select filter icon, Add Filter button and type source to see the necessary dimension Source or Source/Medium based on your business requirement. Click on Apply and you are done.

Hope this helps.

 

Note: I used New Users metric for illustration. Please make use of a more relevant metric for your use case.
