The code tag for the forums turns certain code to smileys - making it difficult for inexperienced users to copy and paste.

 

e.g the below snippet add's a :s where it shoudn't be..

protected $_sessionNamespace = self::SESSION_NAMESPACE;

THanks for the heads up @iweb_p3mbo! I just adjusted the settings so that nothing in preformatted text, including the insert code tool, will show up as an emoticon.
