Indexer Table stuck in processing

Hi 

We are running the latest version of Magento 2 CE. 

On several occasions now we have noticed that our products have disappeared from our site.

Our Dev company has told us that this is due to a known issue with Magento where Indexer Tables get stuck.

We have lost confidence in the product because of this and don't know how often this is happening without us knowing and costing us sales.

 

Is this really an issue with Magento 2? How can this be a non urgent fix if it is?
