Hola!! OK, software engineer (fancy name for Frontend Developer) with some PHP, MVC c# skills.  Mainly experienced in design, UX and Frontend, so not really a full stack developer as yet.  I've been using OC for some time and looking to migrate to Magento.  Been quite a learning curve in the last 5 days but a curve I've enjoyed!! Already earned a Kudos in that time and loads more questions to ask I'm sure.  Really look forward to working with the Magento community!!

The best way to start is to ask and try to help other into the forums so you are in the right path.

You'll find information on StackExchange too and you can start diving into the http://devdocs.magento.com/ not only for learning but to correct and improve the docs.

We can't forget the powerful User Guide: https://docs.magento.com/m2/ce/user_guide/getting-started.html.

Another recomendation could be to be aware of Magento issues on Github: https://github.com/magento/magento2/issues (if you are technical, of course).
