Hello from Choice Collectibles

It is wonderful to join this community and get to meet all of you!

My name is Steve and I have just been hired as the Webmaster for Choice Collectibles. We deal in Marvel licensed Fine Art work signed by famous artists, actors, and even Stan Lee himself. Currently I have been given the keys to our Magento website to manage, populate, and protect while we jump into the online sales world. So lets start with the default questions:

• Where do you work? 
  • Choice Collectibles! Dealing in your favorite super hero fine art.
• What do you do?
  • I manage all of our online sales from here on out as well as our basic IT.
• When and how did you get started working with Magento?
  • The site was built before I got into this business. It is our main POS for direct sales and I intend to keep it protected as best I can.

• What do you do for fun?
  • Costuming, conventions, art, LARP, video games, micro controllers, you name it! I have far too many hobbies and I keep picking up more.
• Any recent projects you're excited about?
  • Choice Collectibles. I just started a couple days ago and I have a lot of work cut out for me. All of our sales are done in person at conventions, dealers, or over the phone and that needs to be bumped up to the modern age of ecommerce. I am not a Magento wiz, but I am hoping with everyones help and my natural motivation to learn new things that I can get on the same level as all of you!

    I came here to learn about Magento, but my first big tasks before I can really get going is to clean up our site:
    
    choiceartgroup.com and choicecollectibles.com
    
    You will notice they both lead to the same site, but they are both not secure. On top of that, choicecollectibles seems to direct to a malicious malware warning on chrome. I hope I can find some folks to help guide me through clearing up the problem or get some advice on where I can go for some advice or services to help clean, but also protect it for the future!

While navigating other issues and questions others hand on this site I ran across someone who had a similar issue as myself with a blacklisted site. User @AQELTech jumped on skype with me and gave me great direction and help! I am feeling more confident with moving forward with our site.

Welcome to the community forums.

The best way to start is to ask and try to help into the forums.

You'll find information on StackExchange too and you can start diving into the http://devdocs.magento.com/ not only for learning but to correct and improve the docs.

Another recomendation could be to be aware of Magento issues on Github: https://github.com/magento/magento2/issues (if you are technical, of course).
