New here and looking for some guidance!

Hi everyone,

I need some honest advice.

For the past year, I have taught myself programming from the ground up, with a focus in Python-based Web Development. I have built a few simple websites in Flask that use databases, do some AJAX, log in users, email support, etc.

I am first and foremost a classical musician, and most of my "full-time" hours go to my work there.

I have recently been contacted by someone in my family who runs a business and needs help on their Magento2 site. They understand it will take me time to get up to speed. For three days, I have been researching Magento2 extensively, and frankly, I'm intimidated. I am going to take the week to continue researching, learning, and see how it goes.

Am I insane to even think of taking this project on? Every post I read talks about the immense complexity and learning curve of Magento2. I am confident that I could learn it with time, but I wonder if I am being too ambitious or straight up foolish to consider this. It would be great to hear from people with some real experience. Thanks so much.

Tristan
