Magento 1.9 is disabling import/upload button beyond 500k Products

Hello Magento community, new to the site and the software, grateful for any guidance you offer.

Only able to upload a maximum of 586,000 products into Magento. Above this figure, the import, upload button becomes not available. We are looking to load 2 million to 4 million products.

We migrated from Magento on a shared server to a dedicated server thinking this might resolve this issue it has not. Currently running Magento 1.9. Will updating to Magento 2.3 resolve our issue or is there a larger problem?

Well, it is hard to tell exactly how many products Magento can import in one go. This mostly depends upon number of stores/store views, attributes, hosting and server you are using and many more. Maybe you can divide import file into smaller chunks and try to import or you can check this tool that was tested to handle import if 1m products in one go to Magento.
