How to i understand functional flow in magento extension

Hi,

I had download and installed one magento extension  its work nice. But I want to know  about  functional flow. I go through the codings, but i somehow understand. i wanna clear understanding in the coding flow. 

Can any one guide me to understanding the coding flow. I already gothrough the file structure and how the extension flow works.
