Can Magento Activate a Custom Ship Method via Coupon Code?

We had a custom shipment method programmed by an external programmer. I am hoping to create a coupon that only displays this method after the coupon code is input.

Can Magento do this?

Using default Magento functionnalities, the behaviour you described is not possible as coupons are normally strictly used for promotions (effect on prices).

Well by default Magento it won't be possible but of course you can achieve it by customizing code.. Take a help of Magento developer for the same
