We're selling bikes that come pre-made. Sometimes customers want a part swapped out for a different size so we open the bike box, swap over the part, seal it back up and send it to the customer.
The problem this produces is that I'm not sure how we should go about tracking these changes and the 'custom' build that it essentially becomes when a part is swapped.
Is this common and if so, what's the best practice for dealing with this sort of scenario?
