Can customers create their own products?

Hi everyone,

I am new to magento and i want to use it to create a website where users can create account and post ads about things they want to sell and.

Is there a way to let normal users do this task instead of the admin who has to create the catalog and products etc...

There is no such functionality in Magento by default. The only solution is to use paid extensions to develop it for your site.
