Hi. I just want to ask.
Is it true that M2 order ID, shipment id etc are 10 digits because of multi store views?
We migrated from M1 with same multi store views which only have 9 digits.
Thanks.

Doesn't matter how many stores, developer can change prefix for different different store. In Magento 1 also you were having all these stores correct so why can not follow same 9 digits?

Re: Does Magento 2 Uses 10 Digit code?
Here is example for Magento 2:
order #000000008 => # key + 9 digits
Invoice: 100000728 => 9 digits
Shipment 000000001 => 9 Digits
You can customise it if requires.

Re: Does Magento 2 Uses 10 Digit code?
Thank you for your quick response.
Just to add little background of my situation. Our developer had got our M2 Ids created in 10 digits of which M2 only supported 9 digits in the sorting mechanism as you also confirmed.
Their excuse why they made a 10 digits to our M2 is because we have so many store views
-we have magento order with order id start with 1
-ebay manchesterplus start with 3
-amazon start with 6
-other store view for our other ebay non active account
Is the developer excuse correct?
I also want to know from other users with more than one store view, do they have the same problem like ours from M 1 to M2?
