Does Magento community edition (or other edition) support market places like amazon? e.g. a supplier

Hi, with Magento community edition, is there any support to allow suppliers to add and manage their own items, like amazon or ebay does?  E.g. if we create a shop called "superShop" and say a local supplier wants to sell his products on our shop, we dont have to set them up for him. The shop would have one brand (like amazon).
