I need to set up a store but not sell products, only display them. How do I do that?

I have a website that I want to migrate into Magento. The products on this site are sold by distributors and not by us but we need to display the products and provide information without making them available for sale. How do I do this in Community?

Hi,

To achieve this -

When adding the item in Magento's admin - mark it as 'Out of Stock' in the inventory tab.

 

Enable showing of out of stock items in System > Configration > Inventory > Display Out of Stock Products.

 

You could also disable the 'Out of Stock' message in the section above (e.g. Display products availability in stock in the frontend)
