Showcase gallery and have survey integration

Hi, I run a site for artists and need the following:

1. Users create their own profiles (after admin approval) and upload images into a very nice gallery.

2. I also need to send the users (in their respective groups) surveys. They should be able to view their answers to the surveys after they have submitted it. The user should also receive an email alert once a new survey has been sent to their group.

Can Magento do these things? I am new to magento so any help/pointers in the right direction would be really appreciated.

That is not available in Magento out-of-the-box.

You should implement a 3rd-party extension or create a custom extension to support those features.
