Archived Orders and Impact on BI dashboard

Hi team- if we decide to automatically archive processed orders XX days after purchase date, do these archived orders also count towards the BI Order Dashboard

This will depend on how your data replication is configured - if you have replication methods and data rechecks configured such that the tables feeding your orders reports check for deleted records, then any records removed from the source tables will also be removed from the MBI Data Warehouse. If your MBI Data Warehouse does not remove deleted records, then the archived records will remain on the MBI side if they are replicated before they get archived.

Hello,

Archiving will not impact your MBI report. They way archiving works in Magento / Adobe Commerce is it keeps Sales Order data (required fields only) in 2 separate tables that is Sales order grid and Archive order grids. You can anytime moves Sales Order Grid records to Archive Order Grid manually or vice-a-versa as well. Your sales order table stays as is.
