Barcode Scanning with Picked Status

Barcode Scanning with Picked Status

What we're looking for is one of two things (or a solution that does both).  We're using CE 1.9.2.1

1. Scan items with a barcode reader (or iPhone/iPod camera) and marks them picked in the Magento order so our warehouse guy can go back to the computer and ship the order.

2. Allow them to build an order in the warehouse aisles by scanning with a barcode reader (or iPhone/iPod) and save it to our Magento system.

Anyone using or know of a system like this?   We already have barcodes on all of our items so we don't need a system that generates or creates those.

Thanks!

Re: Barcode Scanning with Picked Status

Hello.

There is Store Manager for Magento solution with built-in POS functionality. A few words how it works. You can scan product barcode with barcode reader, the item is added to order, then you can pick status, delivery and payment method, client and quick create order.

Here is the article with video tutorial -

You can try if it suits your needs downloading free trial version at - https://www.mag-manager.com/free-download/

Store Manager for Magento 1.x and 2.x - inventory management tool to automatically update products, customers, orders, and other data across multiple sales channels and suppliers.

Re: Barcode Scanning with Picked Status

Thanks, we already have a POS.  I'm looking for a portable solution (iPhone/iPod based scanning) that can be used in the aisles of our warehouse.

ShipHero http://www.magentocommerce.com/magento-connect/shiphero-warehouse-management-system.html might work for you. You can use the camera or a bluetooth scanner. Shoot us an email or give us a call for a demo.

Re: Barcode Scanning with Picked Status

I've found that solution before, and it looks like it would work well for us, but the monthly fees are too high for the amount of volume we're doing.

Re: Barcode Scanning with Picked Status

@rufskin- did you ever find a solution for #2 here? What you describe is exactly what I am looking for.

Re: Barcode Scanning with Picked Status

Unfortunately not. Nothing quite fit the bill for us.
