A good SMTP server can solve issues with sending mass emails to customers. Try this SMTP for M2 to decrease email rejection. You will also be able to use debug mode and log all sent emails.

To make sure all my emails are sent to the destination they are meant to not in customer's junk folder. I am using the SMTP by Aurigait. They are also giving a free e-mail reporting extension with it, after a lot of research, I found it to be cost-effective and most reliable.
