can one import order into Magento from 3rd party sites like Amazon and Home Depot.com

We sell through our own site which will be magento but also sell through multiple other sites.   We have Amazon. pull in a number of Channel advisor sites, traditional retail customer with new websites like Home Depot, Lowes, and are continually adding others.

Would like to use the reporting capability out of Magento but need to import orders to do so.

Is there a way to use the magento back office to do so or do I need to add an extension  to do so.

If you wish to preserve all order details and to have them at disposal when producing your reports, it’s better to use an extension to migrate Orders between third-party platforms and Magento.

It allows you to export and import Orders, Order Addresses, Order Payments, Order Payment Transactions, Order Status History, Invoices, Invoice Comments, Invoice Items, Shipments, Shipment Comments, Shipped Items, Shipments Tracking, Credit Memos, Credit Memo Comments, Credit Memo Items, Checkout fields.

Besides, it support a variety of formats (.csv, .xml) and allows you to choose which fields to export/import.  The .xml format is recommended as it is native to Magento.

The mandatory fields for order import are the two fields listed below:

increment_id (Order ID)

store_code (this info can be found at System > Manage Stores)

You can also check Store Manage for Magento, it also includes the functionality allowing you import of orders from CSV to Magento with related customer data (with columns mapping, so csv format can be adjusted on the fly).

I have Store Manager and use it relatively often. I wouldn't recommend it for importing customers though. 

If you do use it, test test TEST your import before you commit it.

For whatever reason the software was reading some of the CSV values from the wrong row, meaning almost 12,000 customers had an incorrect value in the "city" field. I'm still paying for not checking properly.
