price follows tier after custom options

The problem I'm having is that if you pick the options below, the price updates but you'll notice the % tier don't stay the same "off" - would be great to have an extension that updated the price yet still followed tier pricing.

If you pick the most expensive option of the 3 pulldowns you get

  • Buy 10 for $13.26 each and save 2%
  • Buy 25 for $13.07 each and save 3%
  • Buy 50 for $12.89 each and save 5%
  • Buy 100 for $12.70 each and save 6%

What it would REALLY be is

  • Buy 10 for $12.51 each and save 8%
  • Buy 25 for $11.63 each and save 15%
  • Buy 50 for $10.82 each and save 21%
  • Buy 100 for $10.06 each and save 28%

Re: price follows tier after custom options

Hello!

You can take a look at the Dynamic Product Options extension for Magento 2 that allows to update the final price still followed tier pricing.

Hope it will be of help!

Re: price follows tier after custom options

Totally understand your frustration—I’ve had the same issue. When you select different custom options, the base price updates, but the tier discount percentages don’t follow, which makes the displayed savings pretty misleading. It’s like when I took an animal communication course — we learned how even small, subtle signals from animals can shift the whole meaning of a situation. Pricing should work the same way: responsive and accurate based on real input. An extension that updates the tier pricing correctly would definitely make the buying experience more transparent.
