unable to store file info into file type attribute

Hi,

I am creating application.. where customer need to upload files through form and file information must stores in attribute. I already created attribute in customer section and file will store in media folder.. but i am unable to store file info into file type attribute.. plz help me..

Could you update the question with your code?

Can't you create a new tab under Magento customer admin section and show files links there? I think this approach should be easier instead of storing the files in attribute.

Thanks for suggestion. I completed by taking file type attribute. Now file is store in attribute
