v1.7.0.0 and v1.7.0.1, extention intallation

Hello, I am facing some problem with magento extension, hope you guys help me out.

I made an extension, it works well in v1.7.0.1 but not in v1.7.0.0 though by adding files manually in v1.7.0.0 works. I am adding files to local code base not community. I guess, that is not the problem here. On installing by connect manager or uploading console says "CONNECT ERROR: Unsupported resource type". One thing more extension installs in all above v1.7.0.0 but not in v1.7.0.0 and below.
Any idea? I am open for questions.

If you have not created extension with Magento Package Extension then it will not be installed using Connect Manager.
