Please add a direct download link to the main download page, or at least mention the git repo.

I do not want to install X and a browser ontop a web server just to download the blasted package - a link I can curl or wget is favourite.

Trust me you current download page looks good, and is a great experience for anyone using a modern browser....
ironically I can download it easily on a windows box - but you don't support an install on windows

However no one installing this software on a "real" server is going to use a modern browser .... they'll have an ssh session and a command line - with a curses UI if you're lucky.

Sometimes installing software can be difficult - downloading it should not be.

Interesting that a whole major and one minor software revision later and no one has done anything about this.
