editing merged css and js files

Hi all......

I'm thinking of using the 'Merge css Files and Merge JavaScript Files' option in Admin in the hope that doing this will help SEO.

My question is, if I do this, which css and js files would I edit after merging?

Would it be the newly created merged file or the individual, original files?

Regardless of which is edited, either the original or the newly created merged file would become out of date.

Thank you in advance

Andy

Hi @Andy_Acute

You should unmerge the css and js before making changes. Then after the completion of changes you should again merge the css and js files.

Remember to clear caches.
