What is the hold up with getting the community edition up on your servers for downloading via wget?

OK I just got a personal message from moderator telling me that Magento no longer supports server to server with 1.9.1. However they still have 1.8.1
So now it will take me 8 hours instead of 8 minutes. Nice. Thank you.
