Who is your provider? I use hostgator and they only install 1.8.1 but wont let me upload the file for Magento 2. I think im having the same problem but I would need more context.
You have to increase RAM to install Magento 2 otherwise you won't be able to do it. Minimum 2 GB RAM is needed.
