Data migration tool - Migrate only categorys, products and customer data

Hello,

is it possible to migrate only the categorys, the products and the customer data with the migration tool from Magento 1.9. to 2? I mean only the standard data from Magento 1.

Until now i tried 2 times to migrate data in fresh installations of 2.1.3. and both times i had several problems after migration. Perhaps from some old extensions or themes.

Due to a hoster change i have only a database backup from the old hoster, possibly messed up with too much old content.

Any help would be appreciated...

I want do do the same, I will  try to use the migrations tool config file to do, but it's not very easy to use.
