By default, centos run old Redis 3.2 and we need the latest version of Redis 6.0.
How to remove old Redis 3.2 and how to install the latest version 6.0.
We are using Magento 2.4.2 and this version supports Redis 6.0.

Did you try upgrading redis, not reinstalling it ?
if not, try below command if you have homebrew :
brew update brew upgrade redis
