I have Magento 2.4.2 installed via Tar file in folder /var/www/html/magento2.4 and I made a change to etc.apache2/sites-available file with this;
<VirtualHost *:80> ServerAdmin webmaster@localhost DocumentRoot /var/www/html <Directory /> Options FollowSymLinks AllowOverride None </Directory> <Directory /var/www/> Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews AllowOverride None Order allow,deny allow from all </Directory>
and now when I put localhost/magento2.4 it gives me and error page that it cannot connect to server.
Should I add the line ServerName 127.0.0.1 at the end of this config file?
I think I fixed it by adding ServerName 127.0.0.1 it worked once and is now broken again.
I made the change and saved and reloaded apache 2 then I restarted the computer and it did not work.
In my Apache2 config I do not have;
This file is broken at /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/site1.com.conf
Could this be the problem?
@mainetopmi65d1 What does it show when you visit Magento installation path in browser? Do you see any error message?
Hi @mainetopmi65d1,
I think that you should create a virtual server then install your Magento project in this server. Kindly refer to this article for more information about setting up apache virtual hosts on Ubuntu.
Hope this can help you! Let me know if you need further assistance.
