Magento 2.4 Installation on localhost. Missing frontend and design from app folder. Blank pages

Hello Everyone I am happy to join your team , this is my first post

I have downloaded magento 2 version 2.4.1 with sample data from this link. https://magento.com/tech-resources/download Having managed to installed it I realized that the folders code in the app folder as well as design front end are missing. When installation is over and I access the front end I can only see the footer?!. Also the admin panel is not accessible (blank page no prompt to enter user name and password). If anyone can help would be great. I will update this post with screenshots soon. Thank you

Nevermind, we've found the problem.

We needed to change the pcre.jit configuration in our php.ini files to 0 for some reason.
