Need Help with Products

I'm uploading a product csv from the admin. Weird.. but all of a sudden when I import a csv the category changes to an attribute, not even the category on the sheet. Any ideas? Would it be best to just wipe the db of ALL products and re-upload ?

Prepare csv of all products with correct category and attributes and then re import with add/update process.

Not sure how big is your catalog and how easier for you to wipe of and re-import. As you said categories are created with some other attributes, how about products and other attribute? If they are good then you just need to work on fixing your categories.

My recommendation would be try small set of data at a time even though you have to do it multiple import. Multiple import may take few minutes extra but might save a lot of time as you do not have to clean to mess.

I did and still nothing. I think the best solution is to delete ALL data as if out of the box and re-import new. Is it possible since I've been uploading and deleting for products to mix up or categories?

Hi @luis_m 

I would suggest to remove full catalog and re-import again.

Keep categories structure and attributes structure as it is.

Just re-import the full catalog with initially 100 to 500 products.

Then check if it all looks good then move further otherwise need to debug again - also please check with the data as well - sometimes due to adding some special character or something whole operation get mashed up - so check that as well.

How can I delete full catalog and start back at Default/ as in out of the box fresh install? I tried that in the past but kept getting the products still mixed / overlapping, meaning old products images would end up in new products. I just want to delete ALL the products as if they never existed.
