i downloaded the zip file 2.1 with samples, the zip file i download from magento.com under the Community Edition: https://www.magentocommerce.com/download?_ga=1.267924430.1970076561.1466817659 it was like 237MB , I uploaded on to the cPanel, i extracted the files to the root. I also created a new database name, i went to the www.mydomain.com nothing happened. It did not have install.php file in there. am i downloading a wrong file or something? am i suppose to download from difference place or something?
When you say "nothing happened", surely something must have happened? Did you get an error message? A blank page? Are you sure the files were uploaded to the correct location and that the domain resolves to the same?
