There seems to be a number of questions about this and can't believe that a simple solution hasn't been given... or at least one that I can find.
mcrypt is deprecated now and has been for some years, so how do I either get it installed or override the need for magento to have it installed? Surely magento can supply a download of PHP7.1.X that works in MAMP PRO! Is there one?
I'm running on Mac OSX El Capitan using MAMP PRO with apache and PHP7.1.12 or PHP7.1.13. Has anybody got a working version of either yet? I've spent days working on this and I am just getting annoyed now.
