I'm new to Magento and just downloaded Magento 2 (CE). My webspace is hosted on a shared server. When I try to install Magento I have two error messages in the precheck. The first one is that "always....raw_data = 0" even though it's set to -1 according to phpinfo and the second error is that intl extension is missing. My PHP version is 5.6.20 - I switched to PHP 7 and the first error was gone, but the extension message stays - so I can't get Magento to install
My question = would it be better to install Magento 1.9 instead of Magento 2, my understanding from some readings was that this would run on a shared server
